We’d Rather See You in Egypt Than Read This Page…
Let’s be honest—we hope you never need this page.
We’d much rather welcome you aboard a boat, introduce you to the Red Sea, or help you discover whether you’re a fearless explorer or a legendary Snorkel Potato.
But sometimes plans change. Flights get delayed. Someone catches a cold. Life happens.
This policy explains what happens if you need to cancel, reschedule, or if circumstances beyond anyone’s control affect your trip.
Our goal is simple:
Be fair to you while also respecting our local partners, guides, drivers, boats, hotels, and suppliers who prepare everything in advance.
1. Cancelling Your Booking
If you need to cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
The sooner you let us know, the more options we may have to help.
You can contact us via:
📱 WhatsApp: +20 100 316 4931
2. Day Trips
For most day trips booked through Voyamara:
Free cancellation
You may cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled departure and receive a full refund (if payment has already been made).
Examples include:
- Snorkeling trips
- Boat trips
- Orange Bay
- Paradise Island
- Desert Safari
- City Tours
- Luxor Day Trip
- Cairo Day Trip
- Dolphin House
- Fishing Trips
- Similar daily excursions
Some partner-operated activities may have different cancellation conditions, which will always be communicated before your booking is confirmed.
3. Multi-Day Tours
Multi-day tours require hotels, transportation, guides, permits, and other services to be reserved well in advance.
Because of this, cancellation periods are longer.
Generally:
Free cancellation
48–72 hours before departure.
The exact cancellation deadline depends on the specific tour and will be confirmed during booking.
Examples include:
- Nile Cruises
- Luxor & Aswan packages
- Siwa Oasis tours
- Cairo & Alexandria packages
- Multi-day private tours
4. Flight Tickets
Flights are different.
Once airline tickets have been booked and issued:
They are generally non-refundable.
If the airline allows changes or refunds under its own policy, we’ll gladly assist you.
However, airline rules always take priority.
5. Hotels
Hotels may have their own cancellation policies.
Some bookings may be:
- Fully refundable
- Partially refundable
- Non-refundable
We’ll always inform you of the applicable policy before confirming your reservation.
6. No-Show Policy
A “No-Show” means:
- You don’t arrive at the pickup point.
- You cannot be contacted.
- You miss the departure.
- You choose not to participate without notifying us.
Unfortunately, no-shows are generally non-refundable, as our guides, drivers, boats, and suppliers have already prepared for your participation.
7. Late Arrival
Please be ready at the agreed pickup location on time.
If you’re delayed:
Contact us immediately.
We’ll always try our best to help.
However, depending on the activity, waiting may not be possible because:
- Boats depart on schedule.
- Flights cannot wait.
- National park permits have time restrictions.
- Group tours follow fixed schedules.
8. If Voyamara Cancels Your Tour
Although rare, we may occasionally need to cancel an activity due to:
- Severe weather
- Safety concerns
- Technical problems
- Operational reasons
- Insufficient participants (for certain shared tours)
- Government restrictions
- Force majeure
If this happens, we’ll offer one of the following whenever possible:
- Reschedule your booking.
- Offer a similar experience.
- Provide a full refund for any amount already paid.
9. Weather Conditions
Your safety always comes before the schedule.
Some activities depend heavily on weather conditions.
These include:
- Boat trips
- Diving
- Snorkeling
- Parasailing
- Fishing
- Desert activities
If authorities or our partners determine conditions are unsafe, the activity may be postponed or cancelled.
We’ll work with you to find the best available solution.
10. Force Majeure
Some situations are simply beyond anyone’s control.
Examples include:
- Sandstorms
- Heavy rain
- Strong winds
- Flooding
- Earthquakes
- Epidemics
- Airport closures
- Government restrictions
- Military restrictions
- Civil unrest
- Strikes
- Natural disasters
In these situations, refunds may depend on costs already paid to suppliers that cannot be recovered.
Whenever possible, we’ll prioritize rescheduling your experience instead.
11. Changes Requested by You
Need to change your date?
Want to switch tours?
Need a different pickup location?
Just ask.
Whenever possible, we’ll happily help.
Changes are subject to:
- Availability
- Supplier approval
- Operational feasibility
Some modifications may require additional charges if suppliers apply change fees.
12. Missed Flights
If your flight is delayed or cancelled:
Please inform us immediately.
We’ll do everything reasonably possible to:
- Reschedule your transfer.
- Adjust your tour dates.
- Coordinate with our partners.
However, refunds cannot always be guaranteed if suppliers have already incurred non-recoverable costs.
13. Illness or Medical Emergencies
If illness or a medical emergency prevents you from participating:
Please contact us as soon as possible.
Depending on the supplier and circumstances, we may be able to:
- Reschedule your booking.
- Offer a partial refund.
- Assist with insurance documentation.
Travel insurance can be extremely helpful in these situations.
14. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance before traveling.
Good travel insurance may help cover unexpected situations such as:
- Medical emergencies
- Trip cancellations
- Lost luggage
- Flight disruptions
- Unexpected illness
If you already have insurance, our team can assist you in locating hospitals and clinics in Egypt that may accept your insurance provider.
Voyamara may also recommend trusted insurance providers through affiliate partnerships.
15. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved:
Refund times depend on the original payment method.
Since most bookings are currently paid in cash, refunds will usually be arranged directly between you and our team.
Where electronic payments are used in the future, processing times may vary depending on banks or payment providers.
16. Partial Refunds
In certain situations, only part of a booking may be refundable.
Examples include:
- Hotel reservations already confirmed.
- Domestic flight tickets already issued.
- Government permits already purchased.
- Non-refundable supplier fees.
We’ll always explain any deductions clearly and transparently.
No hidden surprises.
17. Third-Party Services
Some experiences are operated by independent partners.
Their cancellation policies may differ slightly.
Where this applies, we’ll clearly communicate any specific conditions before your booking is confirmed.
18. Exceptional Circumstances
Life can be unpredictable.
If something genuinely exceptional happens, please speak with us.
While we can’t promise every request can be accommodated, we believe in treating people fairly and will always try to find the best possible solution.

One Last Thing…
We sincerely hope you never need to cancel.
But if you do, we’ll always do our best to handle the situation with honesty, transparency, and understanding.
Our goal isn’t just to book tours—it’s to build lasting relationships with travelers from around the world.
And hopefully, even if your plans change this time, we’ll have the chance to welcome you to Egypt another day.
